Clubmix!
I’ve called this mix “clubmix!” to be cheesey. Here you go. I also called it that cos it’s me playing a lot of less deep than usual records in a row, as I might do when things are a little busy at Backlash or wherever. I did it in one take with very little thought, so it’s just what I thought to play at the time. Maybe a little obvious, or maybe the usual mixes I do on the radio are too deep (I like that though!) Anyway enjoy it. (And check out the return of Lopazz to Get Physical halfway through!)

You know, after a few more listens I’m starting to dig on the CC remix, especially enmeshed with the opening strains of “Hammer of Thor.”
What was your equipment set up for this mix?

two pioneer cd-j 800s and a vestax mixer…
all my mixes are done with cds really…
like I said before, for me, the cc/junior boys mix is all about the bit when the kick comes in and he loops the “end in sight” part of the vocal..

And though this might be obvious, it’s one of my favorite mixes circulating at the moment. Big ups, Ronan!

Nice one Steve…thanks. I’m recording stuff onto a portable player (ditched ipod for archos) at last so more home mixes too…the levels are still a bit too high and too low in various places but i’m glad you like it!

Hell, as long as I’m in a commenting frenzy, might as well ask: How much did you pay for your CDJs? I’m using Traktor 3 now, but without an external soundcard I can’t take my setup live (need 4 channels, only have 2 on the laptop). I was thinking of moving up to CDJs in the nearish future if I can’t find a decent solution to my Traktor issues.
That Lopazz track is killer — I like it as much as the A side, “Share My Rhythm,” which I like the most of all his stuff.

no worries about commenting, it’s always good to chat.
my cd-js were 1500 for the two of them, so quite pricey. they’re great, I really like them. tho sometimes I wonder if serrato would have been a better option…I have them now though so maybe not.
yeah the lopazz is great. also really feeling the new kindisch by diskjokke, you heard it?

Haven’t heard that one. Is it much like “Overtid Sinnsyk” or “Interpolation”?

it’s kind of like “I Feel Space” in places..it’s a 6 track release.
Kindisch is really in need of a decent kick up the ass…seems to kind of trundle along..

lovely mix romo - had me headnodding my way to work this morning on the bus. to be honest i don’t know most of the tunes on there but there’s a great flow throughout. kinda reminds me of the carl craig “demon days” mix that was floating around a few weeks back. dunno if there’s the same tunes on there but it’s got that CC feel to it! good shit…
