House Is A Feeling

So Jackmate seems to have been around making house and techno since I started listening to it, and long before too. He was born in “Stuttgart Motor City” according to his Myspace, a Detroit reference which amongst techno producers tells you about as much as if I’d revealed that Jackmate’s favourite liquid to shower in is water.

The last Jackmate record I really enjoyed was his remix for Diynamic from just before Christmas 2006, which I’ve probably mentioned here several times by now. But I really like this new one on Phil E. It fits perfectly with some of the more classic house and techno sounds that have been drifting back into focus for so long now, and it’s also a really nice record to mix. It has the simplicity of early techno , it’s pretty much a standard bumping club track, but it’s also got the sheen of modern stuff.
