House Is A Feeling

For any of the Irish residents amongst you who aren’t going to the Electric Picnic festival (are there any of you?), I’ll be playing at Pogo in the Pod for four hours this Saturday, which should be fun. I’ve been swimming a lot lately so hopefully the extra endurance will stand to me for this mammoth set. I’m also playing Backlash this week, on Thursday. However the main change to note, for those who care, is that it’s unlikely I will remain a resident at Backlash on Thursdays in the Pod. It’s early days, but depending on how things go I will probably soon be a resident at Pogo on Saturdays in the Pod.

I’m looking forward to the change and those of you familiar with the two nights will probably know that what I play is a little more suited to the Saturday these days. I guess at some stage I will have a final Backlash gig too. Backlash is pretty much where I learned to DJ and there have been some amazing nights there over the years, so it’ll be sad to leave but I think the general gang of people I consider Backlash crew will always be the same, even if most of us now have jobs and can’t go out on Thursdays anymore!

Anyway, for me this is the picture that sums up what being involved with Backlash was all about. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times!
