have been reading this place for a while but haven't posted.

was in T-bar there a while ago for Jamie Jones. at 12 there were about 7 people on the dancefloor, we went ootside for a fag and didn't get let back in. odd. it was still good though!

last time I went to fabric I had a wicked time, spent all night in room 3 where Ame were playing, i think it just depends what night your going on. it can get too packed when they get the big names in so i dont bother going then.
went east village a couple of weeks ago, great night but I wasnt that impressed with the sound system, maybe they've tweaked it since.

Well to your first lesson of london bars/clubs. it's all about the night rather than the place. t bar can be wicked some days/nights and really bad the next just like most other places.

As for fabric... i've given up on that place. too much money and effort. it does get the big names but if they are worth it they get the crowds which takes away from the whole experience.

Morillo killed "Funky Town" for me. When i worked as a chef it would come on the radio at least 3 or 4 times in the same night nearly every night!
The awful dire remake that Morillo butchered, unfortunately i didn't have power over the head chef to change stations ha. Sadly, for me Funky Town died there & then in that kitchen.

I found the East Village crowd very friendly and polite, as well as all the staff. Good venue and REALLY good sound for such a small room.

Of course, Fabric room 1 sound is another matter...I'm sure Melchior will make the absolute most of it.

Whatever about the relative merits and demerits of Funky Town we all know that Tamangos is way better than Fabric could ever be!

Funky town makes me go wild every time i hear it. Funny thing: i was in london over the weekend and had looked around a bit about where to go but i turned out to be very tired after running around all day on saturday. I did still show up at East Village at around midnight but my gf didn't like the crowd in the queue (neither did i) so we decided to check on fabric but the queue there was way too long for us tired people to bother with. That's the stupid thing - to me anyways - when you hit big cities like London or Berlin: you want to see so much stuff that you're completely exhausted in the evening. My gf and i decided that if we go to Berlin we'll fly in on Friday, just go out for a beer, chill on saturday and then hit the parties hard and thén stay for another week to take in the city...

ps: fuck queues by the way
