As for fabric... i've given up on that place. too much money and effort. it does get the big names but if they are worth it they get the crowds which takes away from the whole experience. When i worked as a chef it would come on the radio at least 3 or 4 times in the same night nearly every night! The awful dire remake that Morillo butchered, unfortunately i didn't have power over the head chef to change stations ha. Sadly, for me Funky Town died there & then in that kitchen. Good venue and REALLY good sound for such a small room. Of course, Fabric room 1 sound is another matter...I'm sure Melchior will make the absolute most of it. Funny thing: i was in london over the weekend and had looked around a bit about where to go but i turned out to be very tired after running around all day on saturday. I did still show up at East Village at around midnight but my gf didn't like the crowd in the queue (neither did i) so we decided to check on fabric but the queue there was way too long for us tired people to bother with. That's the stupid thing - to me anyways - when you hit big cities like London or Berlin: you want to see so much stuff that you're completely exhausted in the evening. My gf and i decided that if we go to Berlin we'll fly in on Friday, just go out for a beer, chill on saturday and then hit the parties hard and thén stay for another week to take in the city... ps: fuck queues by the way Funky town makes me go wild every time i hear it.
